Just trying to catch up

Las Vegas the end of April

Wyatt loved the king size bed and fluffy bedding

We went to the Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
Las Vegas was a pretty fun trip although if I never go back I'm okay with it. It's a pretty evil city if you ask me. I got a stomach flu the last day. The drive home was awful. Thank heavens for plastic grocery sacks and a sympathetic husband.

We went to Hogle Zoo May 19th. Matt took the day off. It was sort of a birthday day for him.

He is really cute. Isn't he?
Wyatt learned his monkey sounds. He loved the monkeys.

Lunch at the zoo. There's nothin like kickin back to a sandwich with the odor of the animals nearby.

This is my favorite face that Wyatt pulls. It's hilarious.

He loves to empty the cupboards.

He doesn't even try to hide his mischief.

We clean this up a few times a day.

He sneaks the remote.

Dad dressed him for the big World Cup game between USA and England.

Ahh Wednesday...

Wyatt turned 1 on April 7th. I will let Matt post the birthday pictures on his blog. It's amazing how fast time flies. It has been the greatest and hardest year of my life. Working and trying to be a mom has been extremely difficult for me.  I find myself envying those women who get to stay home with their babies. I know it's near impossible to be the mom that they are. I find myself coming home from work trying to be a perfect mom, wife and homemaker in 4 hours while dead tired. And when I don't do it I go to bed feeling guilty and bitter. I cant feel completely sorry for myself though there is one magic day I find myself waiting for and that's Wednesdays. I am so blessed to have Wednesdays off. I get a taste once a week of being a full time mom and regaining my sanity... its wonderful.

I'm sick of being sick

I've been sick for over a week now. I finally decided to crack the wallet open and go to the doctor. I'm usually against paying the doctor 20 bucks to tell me I have a cold. Anywho, I'm on an antibiotic and I hope not to sound like a man soon.

Wyatts First Christmas

Well Christmas has come to an end. I must say I think December 26th is a bummer of a day. I love the Christmas season and the fun that comes with it. This season was especially great with Wyatt now apart of our little family. With Matt working at Target we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked but we got a few Christmas movies in and that's our favorite Christmas activity, if you wanna call it that. Matt has now quit Target in case you were wondering. On a spiritual note (I try not to be cheesy on here but hey its Christmas), I thought a lot about Mary this year and was able to relate with her on the love she must of had for her son. In a weird way I feel connected to her now and she'll forever hold a special place in my heart and hopefully not just around the holidays. Here's a few pictures we took of our little Christmas Angel... okay that was pushin it, our little Wy guy.

Isn't he handsome?

This is what we dealt with the last few days til Christmas. The presents were calling his name.

Wyatt has learned to roll everywhere.
If there was a class on how to get from point A to point B rolling, Wyatt could teach it. He is very professional.

This is Wyatt Christmas morning with his toys. He is enjoying the taste of a dump truck driver.

This is what he did with all his presents.

This was taken this morning. Dad suggested mom sleep in (that should have been my first clue) and gave Wyatt a pile of Christmas toys while he played Playstation 2 Lego Batman.
Did I marry a 13 year old? Ahh who cares I got to sleep in.

Matt Graduated!

Wyatt enjoyed the program very much... literally.

Hi Matt!

I am so proud of Matt. He graduated from Weber State University on Friday. He graduated Magna Cum Laude which is a 3.8 grade point average. What a smarty pants.
Bring on the big bucks baby!
